Portsmonth Dockyard Cristmas Festival
To start off our festive season we had a visit to Portsmouth Dockyard where they hold a Victorian Christmas Festival. With so much to see we started early and decided to let the train take the strain for the journey from home as the station is only a couple of minute's walk. What a great day we had, with something for everyone, we went on the ships that are there. Warrior, Victory and we visited the new Mary Rose Exhibition which was very good but we run out of time to take it all in so we will have to go back. There were loads of stalls, many street performers and just a great atmosphere. A great start to the Christmas period...
Waiting to go in
There was a long queue to stand in before entering the dockyard and this band entertained us by playing Christmas tunes but the queue moved very quick so didn't listen for to long.

As the day turns to night all the pretty lights come on...
Riding on the gallopers
As always a ride on the gallopers once it is dark and the pretty lights are on.
A great day out, just right to get the christmas season off to a good start.
