The Tank Museum

This next set of photos were taken at The Tank Museum, Bovington. Dorset.

If like me you like tanks and all things military then you will have a great time here, with nearly 300 vehicles from 26 different countries there is so much to see.

This is just a few of their tanks which are on display and a couple of these I would of loved to of brought home.

Thank you to the tank expert who helped me with the details of these impresive machines.

Tiger 1

Tiger 1

This is the tank that we were looking forward to seeing but as you can see from the photo it was parked in a horrible postion to be photographed.
The King Tiger II Tank

The King Tiger II Tank

This tank was introduced early 1944 and was the most powerful tank of World War 2. Weighing in at 68.5 metric tonnes (early turret) and 69.8 metric tonnes (production turret) and had a 88mm gun on board.

Impressive stuff.

Hot air balloon

Hot air balloon

This balloon was drifting over our house in Liss. We seem to get alot of balloons coming over but it still always makes me look up and wave.
