Start of the Season
So the start of the 2013 finally came along and we attended a charity event at the end of May, Lords Farm in Petersfield. We then attended our first steam rally of the season, The Dene Rally, Ropley close to the Watercress Steam Railway line. The weather has been a bit hit and miss to the staart of the season with the wind and rain coming at us at The Dene Rally but we enjoyed ourself nevertheless...
The first event of 2013
This was Victorias event after her full repaint, we had other events we had planned to go to before this but sadly we missed them as Victoria took longer to paint than excepted.
This is a great little event, we try to attended each year as it is all for local charity and lots of money has been rasied over the many years it has been running.
Victoria, living van and tractor
Our collection is ever growing and we now have a tractor, well our son has a tractor....
Brothers enjoying the tractor

At the Lions Mouth, Selbourne, Hampshire
Our first steam rally was held over the weekend of 22nd & 23rd June at Ropley, Hampshire. Called The Dene Rally and it was located close to the Watercress Line so steam trains were passing the field all day. A great little rally with quite a few exhibits and 9 or so steam engines. Well worth the 3 hour trip roading over on Victoria to spend the weekend there even if it was VERY windy and raining!!
Early morning steaming up
You can see from the colour of the clouds what sort of morning it was so Victoria kept her cover on while being steamed up. you can also see her driver and the dog taking shelter in the gazebo.
Engines making steam
Covers came off and steam had been made.. The sky still looks dark and the rain kept coming and going but it didn't dampen our spirits..
Engines in the line up

Home time
No pictures of Victoria returning home, sorry forget the camera so he is a picture of Jacks dad roading home the tractor...
Returning home
On our way home we found the Savage family on the road returning home with their Ransommes, Simms & Jefferies Wagon.
