Lynton and Lynmouth, North Devon
What a lovely place this is, we managed to spend the day here doing various things. Playing in the sea, riding on the cliff railway to just strolling around the town. Lots of history and stories to tell, make sure if you are having a holiday in this area you visit here, it's wonderful.
The start of our desent
On the cliff railway starting to descend, looking down towards the bay you can see the Rhenish Tower which you can walk through and out to the end of the harbour wall.
On August 15th 1956 Lynmouth was hit by a flood killing many people, the wall and the tower were badly damaged but later they were reconstructed.
Going down to the beach
This is about three quarters way down the cliff, people watching as we pass under the bridge.
Across the bay
A calm sea on a spring March day
Come and play with me
This is my Labrador "Jess" playing in the river that runs out to the sea.
Look I'm swimming
Like most Labradors they just can't help themselves from playing in the water.
Lunch time
I just couldn't resist taking this shot, he was so close to me and seemed to being posing for the camera.
Pebble Beach Westward Ho!
No sand on this part of the beach at Westward Ho just lots of large pebbles, perfect for rock pooling.
Steam Loco "Lord Nelson"
This Loco "Lord Nelson" was passing thorough the town of Watchet, Somerset.
