Kingsley Steam Rally
This week's pictures were taken when we attended a local steam rally at Kingsley near Bordon. Hampshire. It was a charity event supporting Macmillan.
We had a fab weekend, the weather was lovely and we had lots of fun with Victoria with lots of steaming around the field.
Having a steam around the field
This was a great rally to steam around the field, here is a 4½ scale Foden having a drive around the field.
Polishing time
And they say a woman's work is never done....
The Marshall getting a clean ready for the day ahead.
Cinders the 4" Burrell
Another miniature steaming around, this engine is called "Cinders"
A beautiful Rolls Royce
Victoria having a chuff around
This is Jack, our eldest, having a steer round on Victoria. He spent most of his weekend driving or steering round the field.
Harry's go...
This is our youngest having a steer, he's never been very keen to steer but this year that seems to have changed and he loves it even if he can only just see over the steering wheel.
Ant's go
This is Harry's friend who spent the weekend with us having a go round. For myself and Lloyd, my husband, this is what we enjoy about having Victoria, letting the children have a go.
Time for a chat
All that steering, now they need time out to sit on the water cart and eat sweets and chat.
We had a fantasic weekend, here's looking forward to next year...
