Brixham and Dingles
While on hioliday in South Devon we had a visit to Brixham and a day trip to Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre near Lifton Devon, here are a few pictures from our visits.
Brixham Harbour
A late afternoon visit to Brixham harbour, the sun was shining but there was a nip in the air. Just at the right of the picture you can see The Golden Hind which has been in the harbour since 1964. This is a full size replica of Sir Francis Duke famous ship. The ship is open to the public and has special events but check before you make a special trip, sadly the day we were there it was closed.
Brixham Town
The town was bathed in sun and looked lovely. We had a great fish and chip supper here at the harbour looking out to sea... Perfect.
The harbour
Here we are looking back towards the town from the harbour walls.

Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre
While down in Devon we visited The Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre near Lifton. Wow a wonderful collection of fairground rides, vehicles and information. We had a lovely time riding all the lovely rides there so much so that I didn't take any pictures of the rides.

All the steam engines were having their steam test the day we visited and very kindly the staff let us down to see them all in steam and of course take photos. This made our visit all the more better.
